Explore the northern Adriatic on an island hopping holiday in Croatia. A coastline that mixes sunny climate, historic cities & one of the most breathtaking stretches of shoreline in the Mediterranean.
START - Zadar / FINISH - Pula (or Rijeka).
Activity code: CRIH01
Duration: 10 Days
Island Hopping in the northwest of Croatia is an emerging treat, utilising the new, excellent ferry connections you can visit some of the lesser-known but most beautiful islands. The holiday itinerary would be pleasantly "book-ended" with stays in Pula and Zadar (or perhaps Rijeka/Opatija dependent upon your flights). Our suggested islands are Cres & Mali Losinj; however, you could also choose to visit Pag, Krk, Rab or Dugi Otok.
So, if you don't fancy driving on your holiday then we have the perfect solution; this Adriatic Island Hopping Holiday includes pre-booked passenger-only catamarans & ferries between all the islands and the mainland. Many of the hotels are within easy walking distance of the ports and harbours but we will include private transfers for the slightly longer ones (and to/from the airports, of course).
Spend a few days in Zadar exploring the old town, taking a boat trip or admiring the views from the park overlooking the old harbour, then you have a choice of islands to enjoy, whether you are looking for historical sightseeing, sea-based activities, walking, traditional food (or fine dining) or taking in some spa treatments we will advise which island(s) work best for you. Of course you could then return to Zadar if your flight schedule dictates but if possible we would recommend travelling on to Pula where you can stay in the old city surrounded by remnants of Roman occupation and just a short walk from the magnificent amphitheatre. From Pula you can easily visit nearby Rovinj or the Brijuni Islands.
** this holiday works equally well if you would like to travel in the opposite direction or if you wished to swap island options, such as Pag and Rab instead.
